We actively contribute to a sustainable approach regarding our environment. We focus on four key areas: manufacture, durable materials, low energy consumption and reducing food waste for our customers.
Less food waste
The unique "drawing cut" geometry prevents the unnecessary loss of nutrients and vitamins. Thanks to this biotechnical method and the hand-sharpened blades, the cell structures of the most delicate vegetables or fruits are hardly damaged. This results in a significantly longer shelf life of the processed products.
Low power consumption
With our vegetable slicers, you can save up to 50% in energy. We are committed to sustainably reducing energy consumption in the kitchen and at processing plants. At 260 watts, our vegetable slicers consume comparatively unbeatable amounts of energy, up to 50% less than comparable machines.
Durable materials
We build and sell machines for generations and optimise their processes for a sustainable approach to our environment, with the use of high-quality and durable materials being an important element. We use forged steel for the production of our blades. For our machines, we rely mostly on stainless steel and glass fibre composite, a plastic enriched with silver ions, which is extremely resistant, durable and antimicrobial.
Local sourcing
With our strong presence in the domestic procurement market, we not only promote Switzerland as a business location, but have also set ourselves the goal of sourcing the majority of the parts we use from within a 50 km radius of our site in Quartino. Wherever possible, we take local businesses into account and therefore reduce CO2 emissions in transport through short transport routes.
